Mind the Baby *Hair: pony tail *Clothing: gray tank *Action: Aeryn is on an emotional roller coaster, she has made a deal with Crais but hides it from John (and D'argo) and that takes a toll on her, add to that dealing with the baby Talyn and his ''need'' for Crais. This is one of the best shippy episodes - ''just the once scene'' - 'how many times have we've been close?' 'Just the once.' 'No not that kind of close,' 'Oh friend close!' finally the fence is taken down! The ''hand scene'' - as Aeryn is leaving for Talyn with Crais and of course they don't say goodbye. The shippiest is the tag - Aeryn and John cuddling on the floor in Pilot's Den.
Vitas Mortis *Hair: down *Clothing: debut of the green shirt and season 2 leather vest *Action: Aeryn is a bit ''softer'' in this D'argo centric ep. Even I couldn't find any; but happy note: second season costumes debut, including John's jacket.
Taking the Stone *Hair: down, later pony tail *Clothing: green shirt and black vest *Action: Aeryn is a bit belligerent (of course Chiana did steal her prowler), but she does show tremendous emotional development being sympathetic to Chiana's situation (Chi being a lesser being and all). Aeryn explains her feelings about Chi's situation to John (huge step for Aeryn as a part of the relationship). The tag has John and Aeryn joking with each other.
Crackers Don't Matter *Hair: pony tail *Clothing: leather vest and green shirt *Action: Aeryn spends most of the ep aggressive and suspicious, but that was all T'raltixx's fault. Aeryn rushes to defend John against D'argo and Chi, nice proximity alert there. Using the idea that you hurt the ones you love - they each knew exactly what to say to hurt each other during the shoot out. Another nice proximity alert when John unties Aeryn and she slams him against a wall. At the end, they each want to take back the hurtful words.
Picture if You Will *Hair: down *Clothing: season 2 vest *Action: Aeryn seems to try to be disinterested in the crew's activities. There is very little interaction between John and Aeryn, except when she is wanting to kick off the rest of the crew, he asks her if she would throw him off, she doesn't answer.
The Way We Weren't *Hair: down *Clothing: season 2 vest *Action: As Aeryn relives a now very painful time, she goes from standoffish to angry to hurt to ashamed. John first realizes that Aeryn does understand ''love''. Aeryn says that NOW she'd say it was love with Velorek - does that imply that she recognizes what it was because of John??? ''You say you think you love this man?'' Question in present tense, no verbal answer-what were Aeryn's thoughts there??? hmmmmmmm *Random Note: Claudia is absolutely amazing in the ep! You feel so much for Aeryn and how she is being torn up by her past. Felt by most Scapers this is the BEST Farscape episode to date.
Home on the Remains *Hair: pony tail *Clothing: season 2 vest, black leather pants *Action: Aeryn seemed to be in awe of the massive Budong; but was NOT happy to be left with the ''Blooming Blue Bush'' as the rest went in search of food. She used her knowledge of Zhaan to try and help her (unfortunately made it worse, but hey she tried!) Nice proximity alerts with the fried dentics, and later when John comes back with the ''veggies''.
Dream a Little Dream *Hair: not shown on screen in the present *Clothing: not shown on screen in the present *Action: Aeryn in the present is not shown on screen, the past Aeryn is the Zhaan memories of Aeryn at the end of season 1/beginning of season 2. In the present John and Aeryn were happy to hear each others voices. Desperate attempt to reach a shippy moment I know.
Out of Their Minds *Hair: pony tail *Clothing: season 2 vest *Action: ''John'' and ''Aeryn'' kept mostly close together, except when ''John'' was checking out ''Aeryn''s goods. After they were all changed back, the wrestling play between John and Aeryn (sigh) after they are returned to their own bodies was very nice to see. The tag ''I certainly know what you were doing in my shoes Crichton You were in my shoes I was in your pants'' as John chases her down the hallway is a nice way to end the ep.
My Three Crichtons *Hair: pony tail *Clothing: season 2 vest *Action: The ep opens with Aeryn's panicked ''shoot it'' reaction when a sphere stops then solidifies over John, she holds him after he's spit out. She seems little standoffish for the rest of the ep, but all the John's confused her I'm sure (hmmm deja vu now?) Very funny line by Aeryn to the 3rd Crichton ''he has more Hair, among other things''. *Random note: this episode was originally supposed to air after the LATP trilogy, but at the last minute was aired before it could some of the little touches make the ep different with that thought?
Look At The Princess, Part 1: A Kiss is But a Kiss *Hair: down *Clothing: season 2 vest *Action: The opening kiss - wow! You gotta love that little smile of smugness when John totally fell for her hair herbs. Aeryn was not happy about John kissing other women on the planet, but of course she wouldn't kiss him. She was seriously against his pending marriage, despite Scorpy's presence. The conversation near the end, ''there's never been anything we couldn't over come together. Except each other''. She couldn't commit to John alone, but she couldn't watch him marry someone else.
Look At The Princess, Part 2: I Do, I Think *Hair: down *Clothing: season 2 vest *Action: Aeryn spends this ep between angry and devastated. Aeryn tries to talk John out of the marriage again, John asks her to run away with him, she sidesteps him completely, and goes sends the focus to the crew. John probably would have tried to escape if she had said yes. John does almost get killed several times, but finally makes it to the altar (machine??). You have to love a man in pink.
Look at the Princess, Part 3: The Maltese Crichton *Hair: battle braid; down for the tag *Clothing: climbing costume (very similar to the later Talyn space suits) *Action: Aeryn's eye opening conversation with Draegon about emotions and their value - funny he says almost the same thing Chiana says, but coming from a stranger (who you have no baggage with) it can mean more. Aeryn is beginning to come to terms with having feelings for John and it ain't pretty if you ask me. OK, now all shippers repeat after me ''there was no lake scene, there was no lake scene, there was no lake scene!'' And of course the tag says it all! That silent scene is one of the most powerful in all of Farscape, and it's oozing shippy friction!
*Random Note: Really there was no lake scene.
Beware of Dog *Hair: pony tail (with tendrils) *Clothing: season 2 vest *Action: After a highly emotional time on the Royal Planet, Aeryn's emotions are still running a bit high. She is very concerned for John, she seeks him out to discuss his developing problem - she wants to talk and he doesn't! Otherwise she is very annoyed with everyone else on the ship. John and Aeryn work together to solve the parasite problem, one of the best Butch/Sundance scenes killing the parasites in Zhaan's lab and the great ''Sorry about the mess'' line - love it! John comforts Aeryn when the Vork dies.
Won't Get Fooled Again *Hair: well it's not really Aeryn so I don't think the curlers should count *Clothing: the lab jacket and the party girl clothes probably shouldn't count either *Action: Well, we never see the real Aeryn in this ep, so the make-out session with the non-D'argo wasn't real (see denial is not always needed!) This was one twisted trip into John's subconscious on mind altering chemicals (breath??), but there is shippy (its everywhere if you dig far enough!). If the Scarren was trying to break John, what would hurt him - Aeryn with someone else, Aeryn not being herself, besides John does almost breakdown to the Aeryn that is most similar to the real Aeryn (confused?).
The Locket *Hair: young-battle pony tail; old - down *Clothing: young-season 2 vest; old- a dress (that looks very similar to the dress Aeryn wears much later in The Choice). *Action: Aeryn changed so much over the ''lifetime'' she lived, her older self is softer than the young soldier. John looked severely depressed when Aeryn was missing. You could almost feel the anxiety. John does try to retrieve Aeryn from the planet, in doing so, he gets caught and they get to grow old together. **string of shippy quotes from the episode: ''I've forgotten how beautiful you are'', ''take a look inside and see his image, the only love of my life'', ''Baby, I miss you already''. Everytime I see this ep, I cry. The performances are amazing. *Random Note: whoa, Stark's back!
*Random Note 2: is this a throwaway ep or will it come back to haunt us???
The Ugly Truth *Hair: Battle Braid *Clothing: season 2 vest and jacket *Action: Aeryn is very closed up in this ep, the arrival of Crais and the Plakavoids..oh um the Plokavians can do that to a girl. Several nice proximity alerts. Very funny moment when Aeryn comes back from giving testimony, John grabs her into a bear hug to be able to speak to her, Aeryn's line ''John hold me'' given so deadpan is hysterical! They both knew what really happened and were able to protect Talyn.
*Random Note: buh bye Stark!
A Clockwork Nebari *Hair: Battle Braid *Clothing: Season 2 vest *Action: Aeryn gets mind cleansed and smiles a lot and loses her gun. Whoa! I wonder if she ever got to yell at Chiana.
Liars, Guns and Money, Part 1: A Not So Simple Plan *Hair: Battle Braid *Clothing: Season 2 vest with the green shirt, had the season 2 jacket while at the Depository *Action: Aeryn is in full PK mode, except when showing concern for John's deteriorating mind. Despite telling John not to turn the robbery into a vendetta against Scorpy, she helps him poison Scorpy's coolant rod. While being chased by PK's, John grabs Aeryn and kisses her to focus his mind. John tries to tell Aeryn how he feels, she tells him ''No you don't'', later he says ''I meant what I said-didn't say''. Aeryn offers him comfort after ''killing'' Scorpius.
Liars, Guns and Money, Part 2: With Friends Like These *Hair: Battle Braid *Clothing: Season 2 vest with green shirt, season 2 jacket when traveling *Action: PK mode again, and she tries to be part of the planning process, yet still very concerned for John's mental state. John and Aeryn are not really together much in this ep, except at the end, when (unbeknownst to Aeryn) John decides to trade himself in. Aeryn's reaction to Jothee's appearance and the realization that John went to Scorpy. The look on Aeryn's face is priceless - Claudia does an amazing job with no words at all! *Random Note: it was great to see clips from season 1, especially the Tavloid/Tavlek joke!
Liars, Guns and Money, Part 3: Plan B *Hair: Battle Braid *Clothing: Season 2 vest with green shirt *Action: Aeryn is very intent on rescuing John - even to the point of offering herself to Crais for help, ewwwww! Aeryn shows lots of leadership in the planning process and execution of John's rescue After finding John, she knocks him out of harm's way, then she keeps him from giving himself back to Scorpy, ''The frell you are!''.
Die Me, Dichotomy *Hair: Battle Braid *Clothing: Season 2 vest with green shirt; burial costume for her funeral *Action: Aeryn's concern for John colors all of her actions. Aeryn physically stops John from hurting himself in his dual with the neuro clone Harvey, and tries to encourage John to fight it. Not realizing he isn't strong enough to fight. The Neruo cluster scene when Aeryn finally admits her feelings for John: J:I would be lost with out you A:Then you will never be lost J:You have worked your way into my heart A:You've shown me that I have one J:I love you A:I love you too THWACK! When on the planet, John tries to figure out how he pissed Aeryn off (duh!). After Harvey completely takes over John, Aeryn takes off after him (them?) in her prowler, and a deadly space chase ensues. John is able to wrestle control from Harvey too late - Aeryn is dead. Aeryn's funeral, one of the best I've ever seen on TV. John cutting a lock of Aeryn's hair, asking her forgiveness, telling her he loves her, and kissing her cold lips. We are left with the question - did John get rid of the Aeryn memories? *Random Note: when John realizes Aeryn is dead, he says ''Oh God, what have I done'' - exactly like in DNAMS. |
