Season of Death *Hair: down - and Aeryn's hair never looked better than during Zhaan's unity scene *Clothing: burial costume; season 2 vest in the tag *Action: Well Aeryn was ''mostly'' dead all episode, but man does she know when to come back to life and make an entrance! While on the surgeon's table, John says ''Aeryn's gone, want to die.'' {awww} Zhaan (all hail the Ultimate shipper!!) brings Aeryn back (at her own great cost) not just because she loved her, but ''more importantly because Crichton'' loves her. In the tag they (both in their right minds) say ''I love you'' and then the HUGE smooch. {awwwwwww), but Aeryn reiterates the PK mentality that ''emotional attachments cloud judgement''. She also doesn't want to ''be the cause of anymore deaths'', being the only one (other than Stark) to realize the sacrafice Zhaan made. {awwwww} *Random Note: clothes make the man too - John's clothes change from the IASA costume when he decides to fight Harvey, to the leather pants and black T when he begins to beat Harvey.
Suns and Lovers *Hair: Battle Braid *Clothing: Green shirt and leather pants *Action: Aeryn was pegged to be ''his grunt'', and according to John does all the killing (LOL). They share a drink bottle and when they start out searching for the children, Aeryn tells John that she had been ''thinking about us, and we can have sex if you want.'' He rejects her charity, and she rejects his emotions, asking John what he is afraid of (although, is she the one who is scared?). She then gets an escape from the conversation. In the tag, there is another shared drink bottle while they rediscuss the charity - Aeryn concedes John was right (no nookie now). He asks about the body fluids, she replies ''there will be a backlog.'' *Random Note #1: In the body fluids/back log scene, Ben and Claudia look like they are about to crack up - I think the line ''body fluids'' was flubbed but they went with it. :) *Random Note #2: Jool joins the crew.
Self Inflicted Wounds, Part 1: Could'a, Would'a, Should'a *Hair: Battle Braid *Clothing: Black tank *Action: Aeryn is open to D'argo, but seems angry and mistrustful of John. She even tries to talk to D'argo about his feelings (wow big step). Her first reaction to seeing Neeyala's ship as part of Moya is to blame John. She doesn't answer D'argo about trusting John and says she thinks wormholes blind him. She even asks D'argo to keep an eye on him. Aeryn is the one to make the final call on abandoning Moya. There were several PAs on Neeyala's ship and on Moya.
Self Inflicted Wounds, Part 2: Wait for the Wheel *Hair: Battle Braid *Clothing: Black tank *Action: Aeryn is NOT happy. She is not happy with John (saying he saw an image of Earth and his trust of Neeyala), Neeyala (in general), and worm holes as a rule. She tells Zhaan that she did a bad trade, Zhaan tells Aeryn she undervalues, underestimates and doesn't understand herself. First the slomo to Pilot's den, then waking him up. ''Hello Officer Sun'' awwwwww, great face touching scene with Pilot. I love her scenes with Pilot. Aeryn tries to be the one to sacrifice herself - still feeling guilty about being alive at Zhaan's cost. Some really great PAs, but Aeryn is so angry that she kind of negates a compliment from John (He says ''Anyone tell you how good you are around here?'' She replies, ''As a matter of fact just recently.'') She compeletly mistrusts John and his plans. Which leads into......
...Different Destinations *Hair: Battle Braid *Clothing: bla *Action: Thanks to Stark's mask, the crew is sent back in time. While they are trying to fix the time line, John and Aeryn do not plan together. The critical error and lesson those two should learn is to work together (Butch and Sundance always work out!). Aeryn has her second big blow to her PK lore. Her big hero was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Aeryn does try to blame John for all the problems, but eventually shares the blame. After the hostility of the other two eps (which I think was her survivor guilt) it was nice to see her offering John comfort.
Eat Me *Hair: Battle Braid *Clothing: Season 2 vest *Action: Somehow another leviathan can get really close to where Moya is, and she doesn't know. I guess Talyn distracted her. In a sick and twisted way, we get two Johns. Equal and original. A very disturbing and not really shippy episode, but boy did the NC-17 slash fanfic writers go into overdrive! Aeryn is as perplexed at the John situation as everyone else.
Thanks for Sharing *Hair: Battle Braid *Clothing: Season 2 vest with black tank *Action: Aeryn is very agitated, almost on edge all episode- of course two Johns can do that to a girl. She is almost overcome with emotions seeing her mother via the vidchip (Claudia was amazing here!) There was a proximity alert with who will now be refferred to as TalynJohn (or TJohn) on Talyn. It also appears that TalynJohn and Aeryn are sharing quarters in the much smaller ship. MoyaJohn has a funny exchange with D'argo regarding the care TalynJohn will be showing to Aeryn. *Note about John's clothes: OK, who the frell thought the green shirt was a good idea?!?!?! I know they had to differentiate between the two for the sake of the viewers (like we wouldn't be able to tell) but really, did they have to pick out the ugliest shirt in Australia?!?!?! This is also where we see that John apparently had two jackets, the long coat (which goes with TalynJohn) and the short jacket (which stays with MoyaJohn). While the long coat is always preferable, the short jacket isn't that bad.
Green-Eyed Monster The first of the Talyn episodes and it happens to be written by Ben Browder (who is apparently a huge shipper). *Hair: Battle Braid *Clothing: Season 2 vest; later in the spiffy new Talyn space suit *Action: Throughout the episode the Aeryn was miffed and somewhat short tempered with TJohn, of course his pissing contest with Crais and (to her) random animosity later in the episode contributed to that. Great line during the TalynJohn/Crais pissing contest: ''Talyn you've seen them both naked, perhaps you can tell us whose bigger?'' Aeryn is either unaware or in denial about Crais' ulterior motivation with the transponder, while TJohn sees it as her way to get back to the PK's (like he thinks she wants to do). Aeryn doesn't know about the human tendency to fight about one thing, when the fight is actually about something else, so she can't understand where TJohn is coming from, why he is so adamant about not being there for the ''hardware insertion'' and why TJohn says ''It's always about what you want''. (She also doesn't know about Talyn's first attempt at movie making). It's funny how TJohn mirrors Aeryn's reaction when he got married in LATP. TJohn does change his mind, realizing how stupid it is to not be there for her. Aeryn, due in part I think to the Pilot DNA in her, very quickly grasps the concepts of controlling Talyn's systems. The now infamous drannit scene, perfect example of how many communication problems these two characters have and can have... A: What's your problem? ... Stop acting like a drannit. TJ: I have no idea what a drannit is. A: Dont play dumb with me. TJ: I'm stupid Aeryn, and I have no idea what a drannit is. A: Fine forget the drannit. TJ: Screw the drannit A: (cracking a smile) You really have no idea what a drannit is do you? Now to the big huge important shippy scenes when Talyn traps TJohn outside, TJohn says ''Aeryn is pissed at me, but she kinda likes me'' and Aeryn, trying to save his life, shares with Talyn what it is like to need someone and how much she needs John (I am purposely not using a Talyn or Moya prefix here). Later, after finding out about Talyn's home movies, Aeryn goes to TJohn, saying ''You are like a plague John Crichton, and you have ruined my life, and yet I keep coming back.'' He responds with showing her his hand made star charts, pointing out ''the bright one, is my point of reference, my guide and it's always at the center of my chart. I always name it Aeryn...It's my one constant.'' And the big kiss. *Random Note: the one and only mention the ''Talyn episodes'' have of the other John is when TalynJohn and Aeryn are trying to ''drop anchor'', the clamps close on his fingers, he says ouch, Aeryn's reply is ''Your twin got the brains?'' *Second Random Note: can I get a 'Hell Yeah' for whoever designed the Talyn space suits??
Losing Time The first of the Moya episodes. Aeryn is not here, but her presence or lack of presence has a major impact on MoyaJohn. He is extremely preoccupied and apparently annoying the rest of the Moya crew; a guys gotta do something to keep his mind off the woman he loves who is off with an exact duplicate of himself. Many viewers, including myself, discovered we didn't really like John without Aeryn. I mean, he was distracted, pissy and had that hideous green shirt!
Relativity *Hair: pony tail, she didn't exactly have time to fix it properly *wink wink* *Clothing: Season 2 vest with black tank *Action: HELLO! Nice opening! A trail of clothes, naked limbs, apparently loud and disturbing all night man you gotta love Rockne for this episode! Aeryn is grappling with many complex emotions in this episode. She finally gets to meet the mother she only saw once as a child. She has a moment to tenderly look at her mother, before Xhalax wakes up. Aeryn must treat her mother as a prisoner (very gruffly and abruptly), but then changes tactics to try and find a sympathetic bone in Xhalax's body. Aeryn admits she has always scanned the faces of soldiers to meet her mother. Devastatingly she discovers that in order to save herself, Xhalax killed Aeryn's father. If both Velorek and John told Aeryn she could be more, she listened to them in part to this statement Aeryn makes to her mother, ''My corruption began the moment I was conceived. My independence comes from you. I grew up wanting to be a woman I had only seen once. I am that part of you that wanted to be a rebel, the part of you that knew deep down what was right.'' Right here Aeryn acknowledges that yes she can be more than another PK grunt. In Xhalax , we see what Aeryn could have become if John Crichton hadn't ''ruined'' her life. We see a little bit of Butch and Sundance during the shoot out. There is a panicked search for each other after the fight. TJohn keeps Aeryn from being the one to pull the trigger on Xhalax, and comforts her on the way to the ship. Great tag scene with forehead action going on. Aeryn admits to TJohn that Xhalax was the last tie to the PK, and offers TJ some sleep...or not. Huge smile. *Random note: Claudia (as usual) was amazing, the highs and lows she went through in this episode - wow.
Incubator Moya episode. While this episode lets the audience delve deeper into Scorpy's mind, ambitions and motivations, it is not a shippy episode - Unless you count the John neuroclone, who by the way sees himself in the long coat. This incarnation of John still thinks Aeryn is dead, and won't help Scorpius.

Meltdown *Hair: pony tail that I'm sure was put up quickly *Clothing: season 2 vest with black tank *Attitude/Behavior: ok, she was affected by the ''naughty mist'', but the mist brought out what was foremost in her mind - being VERY close to John. *Shippiness: he he he he - nice music! Considering that John and Aeryn couldn't keep their hands off each other, this was an extremely shippy episode!
Scratch 'n' Sniff Moya episode. John and D'argo have done something so bad that Pilot has kicked them off Moya. This episode is quite disjointed (and a little bizarre). I think that is mainly due to the fact that formerly inebriated (possibly still inebriated) MoyaJohn is the one retelling the story to Pilot, and who tells a ''night before'' story in any way that makes sense, especially if the story involved waking up in fishnet thigh highs being straddled by your best buddy?
Infinite Possibilities, Part 1: Daedalus Demands *Hair: *Clothing: *Attitude/Behavior: *Shippiness:
Infinite Possibilities, Part 2: Icarus Abides *Hair: *Clothing: *Attitude/Behavior: *Shippiness:
Revenging Angel The last of the Moya episodes. D'argo gets mad at MJohn and knocks him into comatose state. Here John fights Harvey for his life. John does give a list reasons for living to Harvey: Earth, Dad, pizza, sex, cold beer, fast cars, sex, Aeryn, love. Harey tries to force John into revenge on D'argo to save himself (themselves??), which is not John's style. In this cartoon-styled coma, John asks his friends what he should do about D'argo and each has a different opinion. Then we get to Aeryn. John first imagines her in lingerie, then she changes herself into her ''normal clothes'' (season 2 vest). The Aeryn in his mind changes into a Marilyn Monroe outfit, Baywatch babe and a cross between Nancy Regan/Hillary Clinton (scary!). Finally John decides he doesn't need revenge to live, his reason for living ''I love Aeryn''. *big shipper sigh*

The Choice *Hair: down *Clothing: abso-frelling-lutely awesome dress (seen at the right), and at the end the green shirt
*Action: We get a best-of-Monjo show. Favorite clips from The Flax, AHR, The Locket, Meltdown. We see thru Aeryn's memories the development of their relationship. Aeryn is in deep mourning for the dead TalynJohn, had lots of raslak and is interacting with images of life with John. Plus some hideous alien is claiming to be her supposedly dead father and her supposedly killed-by-Crais mother comes back to kill her. Not to mention Crais, Stark and Rygel are desperate to get her back on Talyn. Not a good day. Aeryn discovers that her mother had to choose Aeryn's life or Talyn's. At the end, Xhalax tells Aeryn to live for her - is this because first Talyn, then Xhalax gave up their lives for Aeryn to live - like Zhaan did before? Three distinct people ended their lives so her life could continue - How much weight on her shoulders is that? At the end, she does appear to revert to PK-mode. Is this her way of mentally regrouping, going back to the place that has rules that she follows? At the end, we see Aeryn tell the image of John he must go now - is that just the ghost of TalynJohn who must leave or is she leaving MoyaJohn too? You just have to feel sorry for MoyaJohn.
*Random Note: Absolutely incredible Aeryn based episode. We get a bit of insight into this complex character. We also see how her fear of being alone can be manifesting itself into a potential fear that those she love will die. Claudia was amazing, just amazing.
Fractures *Hair: Battle Braid *Clothing: Green shirt *Action: Aeryn seems to be unemotional (or trying to be), almost ghost-like, but you can see the emotions and pain just under the surface. John is very excited, almost like a little boy, to see Aeryn, then with the reception he gets from her ''Hello John'', he is totally bewildered and crestfallen. She keeps her back to the crew during the big debate, and usually avoids eye contact with everyone, especially John. When Aeryn see the PK tech, he asks her if she cares, she says ''no...not anymore.'' When they are working together to fix the other transport pod, John tries to engage Aeryn in conversation, but she doesn't talk. Interesting that he brought up Hewy, Louie and Dewey - stars mentioned by TJohn in GEM. John is so hurt by Aeryn's complete rejection of him, that he breaks down to D'argo. Great Butch and Sundance moment, when they have to save Rygel. They say (at the same time) ''I have an idea'', which turns out to be the same idea. While on D's ship, Aeryn tells John ''Just like the Budong'', John (poor MJohn missed out on so much) replies, ''Budong, what are you talking about?''. Aeryn slipped for a moment. When Aeryn listens to the TJohn recording to MJohn (''Be smart, don't push her, she takes time''), what is she thinking?? Does she realize that they really are the same at that moment? Does that lead to her going with John to the Command Carrier? More questions!!!
*Random note: Thank you D'argo!!! John's green shirt is gone!!! And Happy happy joy joy - the long coat is safe! :)
I Yensch, You Yensch *Hair: Battle Braid *Clothing: Green shirt *Action: Aeryn seems to be trying not to react to the things around her. While talking to Moya about Talyn, Aeryn says ''Talyn has been our home...I personally shared the best and the worst of times.'' She also calls the process a chance for Talyn to be reborn, and have a fresh start. Aeryn asks John what ''we'' should do - he is surprised by this. Her response (seems hopeful!) ''we can still work together Crichton, we always did that well.'' Unfortunately, Aeryn and John don't look at each other while working on Talyn. The tag has the first real conversation John and Aeryn have about what has happened:
A: I have a bad feeling about this. The command carrier. J: You think we shouldn't go? A: I don't think we have a choice. If Scorpius masters the wormhole technology... J: Yes. Some things you die for. A: I just can't watch that happen again. It was perfect, we were so perfect, and you're just like him. You are him. J: No, I'm me. I was here. I missed that dance.... Aeryn, don't come with us. A: We started this together, Crichton. It's how we'll end it.
Into the Lion's Den part 1: Lambs to the Slaughter *Hair: Battle Braid - woo hoo flashbacks to season 1 hair! *Clothing: Green shirt with season 2 vest; in the mist room she hangs in silk jammies! Nice new look! :) *Action: Aeryn is in a familiar environment, but under new circumstances. We see a bit more how different Aeryn is now from when she first came aboard Moya. She is very tense (as are the rest of the crew). She faces an old friend- Henta (nice to know she had friends). Aeryn has a drink thrown in her face by Henta. Although it looks to me like the friend was bowing to peer pressure when she did that. Later, when Aeryn can finally talk to her, they discuss Aeryn's place in the PK's and the rest of the world. Aeryn says she couldn't come back at first, but when she could, she didn't want to. Aeryn tells Henta she has kept loyalty, sacrafice and honor. She also asks her friend if they are fighting for the wrong cause or the wrong leaders. We get to see some Butch and Sundance FINALLY! Aeryn manages to fight off the bad guys and keep an eye on John. We see John using Aeryn as his sounding board and partner again. It's nice Harvey isn't his only companion now. Plus a funny moment when John and Aeryn confront Grayza. He says ''When my friends are threatened I am infamous for making really stupid moves, right?'' Aeryn agrees. Great John/Aeryn dialog--
A: Have you decided on a plan? J: Plan A was to wipe all their data send them back to square one, that would work if I could find the erase button. A: Umhmm J: Plan B, steer them in the wrong direction 'cept I don't know which way that is. A: Umhmm J: I'm starting to look at Plan C. A: Which is? J: Forget the whole thing and run like hell before they kill us. A: Are you serious about that one?! (Startled look) J: No. Just tell the others not to get comfortable. A: Trust me they won't. Into the Lion's Den part 2: Wolf in Sheep's Clothing *Hair: Battle Braid *Clothing: Green shirt with season 2 vest *Action: Aeryn is very quiet during most of the episode. She has a physical reaction to the thought of destroying the command carrier - thinking of the over 50,000 people who are on it. She tries to help the little girl in the ''outdoor'' area, showing her compassion. Henta stops Aeryn, telling her to not make the little girl ''soft''. Aeryn replies ''So much you don't know''. (Never thought Aeryn was particularly soft myself). Crais goes to Aeryn to have her get John to listen to his plan. Crais tells John ''I kept Aeryn safe because I need her'', John replies ''You should come up with a better line.'' {snerk} Aeryn watches John's reaction intently. Is she trying to see TalynJohn? Is she memorizing his face? What is going thru her head? Once the carrier is being destroyed, she pauses to look around then rushes to help get people out. This is really her last tie to the PK's - her home, where she was raised. As Aeryn is getting into the prowler (yippee she has a new one!!) John tells her to ''Fly safe'' - she pauses, is that a goodbye? The episode ends with D'argo, Chi and Rygel in the kitchen, Jool in Pilot's den, and John and Aeryn in Command. They have their backs to the stars, John is writing down the equations (woo hoo notebook is back), he looks at her and she stares down at the floor. Very odd tag.

Dog with Two Bones This episode is, in my opinion, a complete mind-frell or at least 50% mind-frell. Since there are 2 main parts of the episode, I will do the ''reality'' and the ''Earth'' parts separate. ~Note-even after half of season 4, I still think this is a mindfrell. *''Earth'' hair: Down - always down!!!! *''Earth'' Clothing: First we see Aeryn modeling wedding dresses for John. What a scene! Aeryn on a runway, with John lounging on a bench waiting for her. *whew* Then in latter scenes she is in ''Earth clothes'' a leather jacket, slacks, sunglasses. Very chic. *''Earth'' Action: OK they are shopping for a wedding dress, how shippy is that! :) Aeryn seems very unsure - about the dresses, about Earth, about living there. In fact, she states so to John's father. Not wanting to become a Betty Crocker (like Aeryn would know who that is, besides, Betty has a major food empire, that could be fun!) They have many proximity alerts, most almost newlyweds do. The wedding itself has a great kiss, and they are married. (Shippers ooze happiness right about now). Unfortunately in John's vision, Aeryn either leaves him at the alter (strange alternate vision it seems) or she and everyone else is gunned down a la Dynasty by Scorpius and a group of PK's.
*''Reality'' Hair: Battle Braid *''Reality'' Clothing: Green shirt with Season 2 vest *''Reality'' Action: Aeryn is tough to pin down, like most times. She is mourning for Talyn (and Crais even though he is not mentioned specifically), helping save Moya from a psycho Leviathan, planning to join an assassination squad (we find out from Jool), and seems to me (probably just a shipper's fantasy) gearing up to leave John. John's visions seem to revolve around Aeryn - going to Earth, leaving him, dying. Sad shippy I guess. Then there's the big coin toss. Aeryn is leaving, John says he's coming, she says no. JOHN: Then say goodbye. AERYN: We don't say goodbyes. JOHN: We do this time. You see, you leave, and then you come back, and I can't handle the in between. Aeryn. Say goodbye. AERYN: Fine. Goodbye Crichton. JOHN: John! My name is John. Goodbye John, to my face! AERYN: Guarantee you won't die in my arms again! JOHN: Guarantee me you won't die in mine! AERYN: I can! By leaving! JOHN: Do you love John Crichton? Not him. Not me. John Crichton. AERYN: Yes. He kisses her JOHN: And what does that taste like? AERYN: Yesterday. JOHN: Well...nobody can compete with that. I am so much better dead. AERYN: I can't do this again! JOHN: And I can't let the one thing I love fly away in a crappy little ship! AERYN: You once said it was as if the fates meant for us to be together. JOHN: And I believe that. AERYN: Well then if it's true then we will be together again. JOHN: Running away is not fate, Aeryn. Running away is...running away! Fine, you want fate? Here, I've got fate. Fate, here, look, coin toss! AERYN: What, like that side up, you stay? JOHN: Absolutely. Fate. AERYN: Just make a frelling wormhole and go home. JOHN: There is no home. There is no wormhole! There's only you-- Aeryn. Anywhere in the universe. You pick the planet. AERYN: It's too late for that. JOHN: It's not too late. AERYN: No! You're not listening to me! It's too late for me. JOHN: You do this, and we'll never see each other again. AERYN: Do you love Aeryn Sun? JOHN: Beyond hope. AERYN: Then don't make me say goodbye, and don't make me stay.
We last see Aeryn fading from the window of John's module dream-like. Obviously he lost the coin toss. Then Harvey jumps in and leaves John and us with this last tidbit. The human subconscious is a fascinating place... Malleable. Permeable. Fallible. My gift. We then see a clip of the Old Woman: Be forgiving. Be kind. Better angels. Her life. Her world. On her time. You will know. Aeryn is with child. Then Moya is swallowed by a wormhole, leaving John alone in the module. This episode is exceedingly odd. As many season finale cliffhangers do, we only have more questions. Is Aeryn really pregnant or is it a future prediction (I hope the latter)? Is John really trapped alone in the Leviathan graveyard? When will he see Aeryn again? How far apart in Farscape time will the end of season 3 and the beginning of season 4 be? AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH too many questions!!!!
